Construction of Spill Containment Barriers

Edwards Environmental was engaged to design and construct concrete bunding infrastructure around aboveground fuel and bitumen storage tanks for road service depots in several locations across Victoria. This typically involved initial identification and location of existing drainage and other underground assets using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and Electromagnetic (EM) locators. Projects involved earthworks to alter adjacent landforms prior to concreting and barrier construction, followed by installation of suitable drainage access points and safety barriers for users (bollards, kerbing, etc).
